Lauren Lovell is a qualified and insured, Registered Nutritional Therapist and member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
Having studied and worked full-time in London, she understands the pressures of a busy lifestyle and the influence this has on our health and well-being. She works with clients to uncover the root cause of their health concerns and uses practical, realistic strategies and evidence-based, individualised protocols that fit into her client’s busy lifestyles. Her nutritional support helps them along their paths to optimum health and she inspires them to embrace a balanced, sustainable way of eating. This is the backbone of her practice and what she aims to bring to all her clients.
She has a special interest in female hormone balance, digestive and immune health, natural energy balance, stress management and weight-loss.
What is Nutritional Therapy? Nutritional Therapy aims to maintain and promote health and well-being by determining possible nutritional imbalances in the body and addressing how these may be impacting on an individual’s health concerns and symptoms. Registered Nutritional Therapists use a variety of tools and techniques, based on scientific, evidence-based research, to address imbalances and support the individual’s body in maintaining health.
Nutritional therapy may help to:
- optimise digestion, absorption and detoxification
- support hormonal balance, emotional/psychological well-being and energy levels
- promote healthy immunity and tolerance to a range of foods
- sustain a healthy weight and skin vitality
How does a consultation work? A comprehensive health questionnaire and food diary is completed prior to your first consultation which is then analysed and further research undertaken.
During the initial consultation, your current health concerns, symptoms and family and medical history are discussed in more detail, and your dietary habits, stress levels, exercise habits, environment and lifestyle are assessed.
Then, in simple terms, the latest science and research behind what may be contributing to your condition and symptoms are explained along with what sort of interventions can be undertaken to optimise your health.
After this, a programme is negotiated with you and a realistic plan of action to support your health goals based on your needs and circumstances is put into place. You’ll receive specific recommendations relating to diet and lifestyle and you may get additional recommendations relating to supplements and non-invasive testing to further pin point underlying imbalances or deficiencies for an even more targeted plan. You’ll receive a detailed programme via email following your consultation.
