About Philip Waldman — Osteopath and Cranial Osteopath, Chelsea SW10
Philip Waldman is the principal osteopath at Chelsea Natural Health, 208 Fulham Road, Chelsea SW10, and one of the clinic’s founding practitioners. With over 20 years of clinical experience, he is a Diploma-qualified osteopath and a Fellow of the Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy (FSCCO) — one of the most advanced post-graduate cranial qualifications available in the UK, held by only a small number of osteopaths in practice.
Philip works with patients across a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological and systemic conditions, from straightforward back and neck pain to complex longstanding presentations that have not responded to other treatments. His FSCCO fellowship means he is additionally qualified in cranial osteopathy to an exceptionally high level, enabling him to work with patients for whom conventional manipulation would be inappropriate — including newborn babies, young children, pregnant women and the elderly.

Cranial osteopathy
Philip’s FSCCO fellowship distinguishes him as one of a small number of osteopaths in the UK trained in cranial osteopathy to post-graduate fellowship level. Cranial osteopathy uses an extremely gentle, refined touch to assess and treat disturbances in the rhythmic movement of the body’s fluids and tissues — effects that are subtle but can be profound, particularly for conditions that have not responded to more direct physical treatment.
Philip recommends that all newborn babies receive at least one cranial osteopathic check-up, regardless of how straightforward the birth appeared. Even uncomplicated deliveries involve significant compressive forces on the baby’s skull, spine and pelvis, and early treatment can often resolve unsettled behaviour, feeding difficulties and sleep disturbances that parents and midwives can otherwise struggle to explain.
