About Halina High – Reflexology, Nutrition & Allergy Testing, Chelsea SW10
Originally from Australia, Halina began her career in the hospitality industry, working in fine dining restaurants where she developed a deep appreciation for the connection between food, health and wellbeing.
In 1997, she made a life-changing career move, studying Anatomy & Physiology and Sports Massage at the West London School of Massage. At the same time, she worked as a receptionist at the Chelsea Complementary Health Clinic on Ifield Road, where she became immersed in the world of integrative healthcare.
During this time, Halina had the privilege of being mentored by the late Craig Coman, an exceptional osteopath and naturopath. His knowledge and holistic approach to patient care inspired her to see health as the result of the body’s interconnected systems working in harmony—a philosophy that continues to underpin her practice today.
In 1998, Halina went on to train in Foot Reflexology at the Central London School of Reflexology under the guidance of Michael Keet. Since qualifying, she has remained passionate about continuing her professional development. Over the years, she has undertaken advanced training in many areas of reflexology, including pregnancy, menopause, and precision techniques that incorporate whole-body positioning and fascia. This ongoing learning enables her to tailor every treatment to the individual, supporting the body’s natural ability to restore balance and heal.
In 2005, Halina graduated from the Institute for Optimum Nutrition with a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy, bringing her full circle back to her lifelong love of good food and its role in supporting health.
Drawing on both her culinary background and clinical training, Halina believes that nutrition should be practical, enjoyable and tailored to the individual. She works closely with each client to develop realistic, sustainable dietary strategies that fit naturally into everyday life, helping them build lasting habits rather than relying on restrictive diets or short-term solutions.
A central focus of Halina’s work is helping clients develop metabolic flexibility—the ability to efficiently switch between using carbohydrates and fat for energy. Through an individualised lower-carbohydrate approach, clients enjoy more energy, balanced mood, improved focus and concentration, all of which are the foundations of longevity.
Halina High combines three complementary disciplines – reflexology, nutritional therapy and allergy and food sensitivity testing – into an integrated approach to health and wellbeing at Chelsea Natural Health. Her breadth of expertise allows her to address presenting health concerns from multiple angles simultaneously, providing both immediate therapeutic relief and a longer-term nutritional and dietary framework for recovery.
Halina has a particular focus on prenatal treatments, working with pregnant clients throughout all stages of pregnancy with both reflexology and nutritional support. She is also a long-standing colleague and collaborator of Simon Heale, who credits her nutritional guidance with playing a significant role in his preparation for and recovery from the 56-mile Comrades Ultra-Marathon.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a natural therapy based on the principle that specific zones of the feet and hands correspond to every organ, gland and system in the body. Halina offers sessions of 30, 60 and 90 minutes, applying graduated pressure to reflex zones to encourage the body’s own self-regulating mechanisms. The treatment is deeply relaxing and appropriate for a wide range of conditions including stress, hormonal imbalances, digestive complaints, insomnia and general health maintenance. Halina has particular experience with prenatal reflexology and works with pregnant clients from the second trimester onwards. Compare also Adriana Pop’s reflexology practice.
Allergy and food sensitivity testing
Allergy and food sensitivity testing with Halina identifies the substances underlying conditions such as IBS, eczema, asthma, chronic fatigue, persistent bloating and skin irritations. Where a standard allergy test simply identifies reaction substances, Halina’s integrated approach continues into active nutritional support – creating a personalised dietary plan to reduce exposure, support the gut and reduce the inflammatory burden on the immune system. This makes her testing service significantly more comprehensive than standalone test-only services.
Nutritional therapy
Halina’s nutritional therapy practice supports clients with dietary change, supplementation and lifestyle adjustments tailored to their individual constitution and health goals. She works with digestive health, energy, hormonal balance, weight management and athletic performance. Her work with Simon Heale during his ultramarathon preparation demonstrated the measurable impact of targeted nutritional support on training recovery, endurance and resilience.
