About Simon Heale –
Sports and Remedial Massage, Mindfulness, Health Coach, Reiki, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, London, Chelsea SW10
Simon is one of the clinic’s most multidisciplinary practitioners at Chelsea Natural Health — a qualified sports and remedial therapist, Cranio-Sacral and Usui Reiki practitioner (Master), health and mindfulness coach. An accomplished marathoner and ultramarathon runner over 40 years, he brings exceptional first-hand understanding to work with runners and exercisers of all levels. He combines 30 years of bodywork experience with deep tissue and sports massage, dry needling, mindfulness and health coaching to cultivate improved health, vitality and movement. Whatever your goal Simon will help you reach it.
Alongside his physical work, Simon practises Reiki at Master Teacher level from the direct lineage of Hawaii Takata, teaches Reiki at Levels 1 and 2, and offers mindfulness for a wide range of psychological and behavioral concerns. He is a long-standing colleague and collaborator of reflexologist and nutritional therapist Halina High, who helped support his ultramarathon preparation through nutritional therapy.
Sports massage and deep tissue massage
Simon is now in his 30th year as a full time Sports….
He is currently training for his third Comrades ultra-marathon in South Africa, the last one being in 2015, and at 62 this might be the last one. Possibly.
Through educating ourselves about our nutrition, the movement or exercise we need, what doesn’t work in our lives anymore, we can begin to move towards a life of more vitality, fulfilment and perhaps one that is more settled.
Reiki
Simon is a Usui Reiki Master Teacher from the direct lineage of Hawaii Takata – one of the founders of Western Reiki practice. His Reiki practice is available as a standalone treatment or combined with massage or craniosacral therapy. He teaches Reiki at Levels 1 and 2 – contact the clinic for details of upcoming courses. Compare also Carol McLoughlin’s Reiki practice for a dedicated standalone Reiki experience.
Mindfulness
He uses mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques, which can be learned during sessions and then applied independently. His approach to psychological work is informed by his own experience of the mental demands of endurance sport.
Craniosacral therapy
Simon offers craniosacral therapy as a standalone treatment or as an enhancement to massage sessions. This is a distinct discipline from Philip Waldman’s cranial osteopathy – it shares similar theoretical principles but is practised by Simon as a complementary therapist rather than as an osteopath.
