Creating your new healthy life plan

With Simon as your health coach, you will create a new vision of health and wellbeing for your life — and a practical, personalised plan to achieve it.

The process begins with a thorough review of your current health, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep and stress levels. Together you will agree on specific, realistic goals. Simon then designs a personalised programme to help you reach them, combining nutritional guidance with behavioural strategies, mindfulness techniques and — where appropriate — clinical hypnotherapy to address psychological barriers.

Sessions are held at Chelsea Natural Health, 208 Fulham Road SW10, or online. Most clients begin with a course of six sessions over three months — enough time to establish new habits and see meaningful change. Simon will discuss a realistic programme at your first appointment based on your goals and starting point.

What is health coaching and how is it different from therapy or personal training?

Unlike therapy, it does not focus on diagnosing or treating psychological conditions — it focuses on where you want to be and how to get there. Unlike personal training, it looks at the whole picture — sleep, stress, nutrition, energy and mindset — not just physical fitness. Simon combines health coaching with his background in sports therapy, hypnotherapy and mindfulness, creating a uniquely integrated approach.
Who is health coaching suitable for?
Health coaching is for anyone who feels their health or energy is not where they want it to be and who wants structured support to make changes that stick. Common reasons people come to Simon include persistent fatigue, difficulty losing weight, menopause, managing high blood pressure or pre-diabetes, poor sleep, low mood and stress or burnout. No GP referral is needed.
How many sessions will I need?
Most clients begin with a course of six sessions over three months — enough time to establish new habits and see meaningful change. Simon will discuss a realistic programme at your first appointment based on your goals and starting point. Some clients choose ongoing monthly sessions for accountability and continued progress once their initial goals are met.
Can health coaching help with menopause?

Simon works with the hormonal and lifestyle factors involved, combining nutritional guidance, sleep strategies, stress management and mindfulness. Can health coaching help if I have been told I am pre-diabetic?
Yes — this is one of the areas where health coaching is most evidence-based. Pre-diabetes is largely reversible through changes to diet, activity levels, sleep and stress management. Simon works with you to identify the specific patterns driving elevated blood sugar and designs a practical, sustainable programme to address them. Please continue any medical monitoring your GP has recommended alongside the coaching.
How does health coaching differ from nutritional therapy?
Nutritional therapy, as practised by Halina High at the clinic, focuses specifically on dietary assessment, supplementation and food sensitivity testing. Health coaching takes a broader view — nutrition is one component alongside sleep, stress, movement, mindset and behaviour change. The two approaches complement each other well and Simon can co-ordinate with Halina where both would benefit you.
Does Simon use hypnotherapy as part of health coaching?
Where appropriate, yes. Simon is a qualified clinical hypnotherapist and frequently integrates hypnotherapy techniques to address psychological barriers to change — food cravings, habitual behaviours, sleep problems, anxiety and low motivation.
