What to expect during a consultation?

TCM is holistic so a wide range of questions may be asked. This will often include the dietary habits, sleep quality, bowel movement, urine and energy levels. Your tongue will be examined, your pulse will be taken, your skin, muscle and tone may be checked. Practitioners can select from several treatment options, ranging from acupuncture, moxibustion and herbal medicine to patient education and lifestyle advice.

Gavin Han began his medical career in 1995. He obtained his TCM bachelor’s degree in 2001 and gained his PhD in Clinical Study on TCM from the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2008. “I came to Gavin for fertility treatment. He was professional and knowledgeable and really put me at ease. Having had three failed rounds of IVF I was keen to try something less invasive and after a few months of Chinese medicine and acupuncture, I fell pregnant for the first time and am now three months pregnant with my first child. I am really pleased to have pursued this course of treatment and would recommend Gavin particularly” Melissa Sullivan

“After a long time of having issues with my skin and for doctors just giving me creams for the issue just to return again I was starting to lose hope. I decided to try acupuncture. Gavin was very professional and made me feel at ease, within a month of the treatments alongside using the prescribed Chinese medicine my skin has completely cleared up and alongside this I feel much more calm and have been sleeping better than before. I highly recommend Gavin to anyone else who is looking to have acupuncture treatment.” Hannah, Walthamstow
