Therapeutic and Relaxing Massage

Therapeutic and Relaxing Massage with Halina Osinski High at Chelsea Natural Health Clinic, Fulham Rd, SW10

Touch is the most instinctive response to pain. It is an essential requirement for healthy development in early life and so too as we age, it provides nourishment on all levels.

Therapeutic massage focuses on problem areas and is often deeper than relaxing massage. It can be a full body massage including face, scalp and abdomen, or tailored to the areas that need most work: often the neck, back and shoulders.

My aim is always to make the treatment as relaxing and stress relieving as possible, so we only ever work slowly and gently up to your pain threshold, not beyond it.

Nerve endings on the skin, connective tissue and muscle surfaces respond to therapeutic touch, which in turn has a beneficial effect on internal organs and systems. In this way massage can help to switch off the production of stress hormones, allowing the adrenal glands to rest and for repair and tissue regeneration to occur. The end result is that the body begins to properly rest and your energy levels will be noticeably improved.

I recommend:
Avoiding large or heavy meals prior to treatments
Arrange your schedule to allow you as much rest time as possible after treatments
Drink plenty of water after treatments to assist in the removal of mobilised toxins
