Humanistic Counselling views the person as full of potential for growth.  Respecting individual’s uniqueness and value of their experience.  An approach that believes everyone has an inbuilt capacity to grow and achieve their full potential.  It encourages a person to be more self-accepting, to recognise and integrate all aspects of their nature.  Hence, it is a holistic approach, where the body, mind and spirit are recognised as dimensions of a person’s whole being.  The counsellor can support the person to access their own personal power and become more autonomous, and confident in themselves.  Counselling offers a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore emotional difficulties and gain greater clarity and insight.

At the initial assessment, we can explore what has brought you to counselling and what you would like to get out of it. You can experience what I am like as a counsellor and decide if my style is right for you, before making a commitment. You can also ask any questions that you may have.
